the celtic wheel

our cyclic nature

The Celtic wheel is an ancient framework for understanding the symbolism of the cycles and seasons; in our modern societies as where we have become so distant from living in union with these cycles; tools such as the Celtic Wheel can support us in reconnecting with our innate cyclic nature.

IMBOLC: early spring, the seed

SPRING EQUINOX spring, emergence

BEALTAINE early summer, the bloom

SUMMER SOLSTICE peak of the cycle, summer

LUGHNASADH autumn,

AUTUMN EQUINOX the harvest, relish in the fruits of your labours

SAMHAIN the death, the sheddnig, letting go & release

WINTER SOLSTICE enter the dream

The symbolism and energy of each turn in the wheel offers us wisdom be it to build, prosper and grow with an idea or to let go, shed and release something that is no longer serving; the wisdom of cycles can guide us through to finding balance as well as purpose, alignment and joy in our lives.

Guided by energies of inclination toward the centre point of the year - Summer Solstice to then make our way all the way back down to the deepest point of Winter - the Winter Solstice signifying the rise and falls that we are always working with; the rhythms of life, the rhythms of the universe.

We are steered and guided by the rhythm of cycles; the swell to a peak, to know the release that follows leaving only truth to remain.

WINTER SOLSTICE

Like all things there is a rise & fall, ebb & flow; though in our modern world of eternal extraction and a seeking for youth and constant summer states we strive unknowingly for an unnatural linearality; which can leave us in confusion and shock when we do experience change and loss in our lives

the wisdom of cycles offers us a guide back to the natural rhythms of life; our true nature.

Cycles of Evolution

Cycles of Evolution

Life moves through cycles, we need change to grow and evolve. Too much of anything even a good thing creates boredom: ff we were always happy, or always sad our lives would feel empty. The rhythms, seasons and cycle act as teachers of balance and harmony, as well as purpose and joy,

The more we allow oursleves to move with the wise spiral of life we can shed, grow, evolve and expand as well as well as to notice the part of us that is unchanging - this keeps us grounded. Just as the cycles teach us, everything is needed in balance - too long a winter will leave us barren, and too long a summer will have us feeling burnt out. Anchoring with the seasons allows us to find that balance and to at times push ourselves out of a rut (i.e when we are over-wintering) or to remind us to relish in the beauty of our hard work; to stop pause, feel and celebrate (autumn). Wherever you fall on the scale see ways you can bring balance and allow for more letting go or perhaps more building where needed.

Do you need more time for reflection or time for action?

Are you always on the move and never present or content with all you have, with what is?

Do you fear change and cling to the known?

<<<<The inward, the reflection

>>>> The outward, the expression

All with balance create a life of wellbeing, vitality, purpose and joy.

We apply all of these principles to all that we do at The Med Space, to support you in your growth, in times of change as well as for your health and purpose.

Join us on the journey as we cycle through the seasons & turns of the wheel together.
